Formula
Each rate is multiplied by its count:
total = transport + nights × nightly rate + days × daily spending
The trip cost page splits a group total you already know. This page builds the total from rates.
Assumptions
- Transport is a single amount.
- Every night uses the same rate.
- Daily spending is the same on every day.
Worked example
A $450 ticket, 5 nights at $140, and 6 days at $75 comes to $1,600.00.
Input definitions
- Lodging per night
- The room rate for one night, typed by you.
- Spending per day
- Food and other daily costs, as one amount.
Limitations
This is a trip sketch. Prices and rates are numbers you type. The currency control changes the symbol only and does not convert one currency into another.
Questions
Can transport be zero?
Yes, if the trip has no ticket to add. Nights and days still have to be at least one.
Does this split the cost?
No. A known lodging, transport, and activity total divided by people is the trip cost page.
