Formula
Each score is multiplied by its weight:
Weighted grade = (score × weight, summed) / sum of weights
Equal weights match the ordinary grade average.
Assumptions
- Weights are zero or greater.
- At least one weight is above zero.
Worked example
An 80 with weight 40 and a 90 with weight 60 average 86.
Input definitions

Limitations
This is a planning estimate for school or a calendar. It is not an official transcript, an attendance record, or a payroll ruling.
Questions
Must the weights add to 100?
No. They are relative. 40 and 60 is the same split as 2 and 3.
How is this different from weighted GPA?
Weighted GPA adds an honors bonus on a grade-point scale. This page stays in percent scores.
