Formula
The tax is a percent of salary. Benefits and equipment are amounts you type:
Employee cost = salary + salary × employer tax + benefits + equipment
The result is the annual cost of one person, not a company payroll.
Assumptions
- The tax percent applies only to the salary.
- Benefits and equipment are already the annual amounts.
Worked example
A $60,000.00 salary, 7.65% employer tax, $6,000.00 of benefits, and $1,200.00 of equipment cost $71,790.00 a year.
Input definitions
- Employer tax
- The percent you add on the salary. It is not a filing calculation.
- Equipment
- Tools or gear assigned to this employee for the year. Zero is allowed.
Limitations
This is a planning estimate, not accounting, tax, payroll, or advertising advice. The currency control changes the symbol only.
